I’m all for plant-based creations served beautifully that can convert the most diehard carnivore. But what I’m not in favor of is misleading people or not telling them what it is that they are eating. When most people think of kebabs, they think of cubes of meat (such as lamb or beef) marinated and cooked with vegetables usually on a skewer (that’s also the dictionary definition). However, according to this article, last week diners, at a fancy Israeli restaurant, unbeknownst to them were served 3D-printed plant-based kebabs from a food-technology company. The food-tech company is called Redefine. https://redefinemeat.com/ Unfortunately their website doesn’t provide information on the ingredients used or the technology process to confirm the article. Stick to whole foods to be sure of what you are eating… at least for now… until we learn of 3D printed fruits and vegetables (this already exists in terms of using vegetables as 3D inputs to print what some think are kid friendly snacks disguised as an Octopus or some other curious form. https://all3dp.com/3d-printed-vegetables/
